Information on the investigations
The occupational medical aptitude / initial and preventive examinations initially comprise a medical consultation with a medical history and individual advice. In addition, a physical examination (examination of the skin, heart, lungs, spine, etc.), a blood sample for laboratory tests and a urine sample may be offered or required.
Depending on your field of activity and the associated workplace stresses, additional examinations may be necessary, e.g:
- Eye test (e.g. for VDU workstations or driving, steering and monitoring activities), please bring your visual aids (glasses, contact lenses, VDU workstation glasses) to the examination if necessary
- Pulmonary function test (e.g. for exposure to allergens, inorganic dusts, smoke, etc.)
The occupational health examinations take approx. 30 minutes each. Please arrive on time for your appointment to avoid unnecessary delays. If you are late or cannot keep your appointment, please call us on 0391-6714418 to arrange an alternative appointment.
Please bring the following documents with you to every examination :
- Insurance Card
- Vaccination Certificate
- Medical history form, eng.: anamnesis questionnaire (for the preliminary examination)
- Current laboratory findings/ diagnostic reports/ AHB reports, if applicable
Please bring the medical history form for persons exposed to radiation with you to the radiation protection examinations.
