Department for Equality, Diversity, and Young Talent Development
The implementation of gender equality and equal opportunities is an important cross-cutting task at the Faculty of Medicine. The GDN department focuses on the FME's strategic goals in equality, diversity, and young talent development, and actively works to shape the measures of the decentralized equality plan to promote young talent.
The department is responsible for
- Bundling, networking, and coordinating topics and measures related to equality, diversity, and young talent development
- Maintaining constant contact with the Office for Equality Issues at OvGU and the FME's equal opportunities officer
- Preparing equality reports and supporting internal and external communication
- Designing and implementing support measures for young scientists at all stages of their scientific careers
- Providing advice on issues relating to equality, family, anti-discrimination, and the promotion of young talent (MED-4-SCIENCE)
