Reliably connected - for your health. Also in the future
The integration of the clinics and the Medical Care Centre (MVZ) of the Pfeiffersche Stiftungen into University Medicine Magdeburg (UMMD) on 1 August 2025 will create a new partnership that has one thing in mind above all: securing and further developing high-quality, local medical care for the people in the region.
What does it means for patients?
First of all: no change to your everyday life. Your treatments, contact persons and familiar processes will remain unchanged. The Christian self-image that characterises the facilities remains our common attitude: people are at the centre of everything we do.
Why this step?
In view of the growing challenges in the healthcare sector - from the shortage of skilled labour to increasing quality requirements and changing financing conditions - strong partnerships are essential. Through integration, we can pool expertise, share resources and thus ensure long-term security of care for patients and employees alike.
What is improving?
University Medicine Magdeburg opens up new perspectives for medical care. Additional specialist and technical expertise is expanding the range of services - both on an outpatient and inpatient basis. Research, teaching and clinical practice will interact even more closely in future - with the aim of further improving treatment options for patients.
What remains
- Your previous treatment options
- Your local contact
- High standards of quality, humanity and care
Questions are welcome. We know that changes can raise questions. That's why we want to listen to you and are ready to answer your concerns. We have set up a central information page for patients, relatives and interested parties: www.med.ovgu.de/integration-krankenhaus-pfeiffers. You will find all the information there.
Together for strong healthcare. In Magdeburg. In the region. For you.
