On 1 September 2025, 120 dedicated young professionals began their training at the Training Centre for Healthcare Professions – in the fields of nursing, surgical and anaesthesia assistance, radiology and laboratory analysis, and, for the first time, functional diagnostics.

On 1 July 2025, orthopaedics, trauma surgery and plastic surgery will pool their expertise in a joint centre – a significant step for interdisciplinary cutting-edge medicine in Magdeburg.

On 1 September 2025, the new trainees at Magdeburg University Hospital began their theoretical nursing training in the modern facilities on the first floor of the Neustädter Höfe building. The move marks an important milestone after six successful years at the previous location.

How can gender-specific differences in medicine be researched, communicated and applied in a more targeted manner? This key question will be the focus of the 11th International Congress of the International Society of Gender Medicine (IGM), which will take place on 18 and 19 September 2025 at the Johanniskirche in Magdeburg.

To mark World Alzheimer's Day in September, Magdeburg University Hospital and the DZNE cordially invite you to an information event. The focus will be on innovative approaches to diagnosis and therapy, which will be presented during the memory consultation hour.

Corinna Jendges, Commercial Director of Jena University Hospital, will be appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board of Magdeburg University Hospital A.ö.R. with effect from 15 August 2025.
